About this box
About this box
Half human, half monster: this Kafka Hibino light box, from the world of Kaiju No. 8, captures the instant his transformation takes hold. The left side of his face has hardened into a cracked, skull-like kaiju mask with a glowing eye, his human eye narrows at the center, and dark armored plating laced with green-lit fissures spreads across the right against a burst of blue lightning.
With the light off, it reads as a striking split-face portrait in gray, black and blue. With the light on, the cracks and eyes glow and the layers separate into real depth, a strong look beside a gaming monitor, on a manga shelf or on a nightstand. Monster-movie fans can file it under anime room decor, and after dark it takes over as an anime night light; for anyone following the Defense Force's unlikeliest recruit, it is also an easy Kaiju No. 8 gift.

Love the 3D Effect
Love the 3D layers. Makes the art piece pop out and look cool. I gifted it to my husband for Christmas and he loves it.

Excellent! Works both with battery, both with USB.
They're really cool. Look just like the photo.
Highly recommend buying from Manga Hikari. I live in NZ and my order was here within 2 weeks. So stoked! Product is cool too, I bought for my bf and he loved it!

Questions people ask before they buy
How does Buy 2, get 1 free work?
Add any 3 boxes to your cart, from any anime. The cheapest one is free, taken off automatically at checkout. 6 boxes = 2 free, 9 boxes = 3 free.
Do I need a code?
No. The discount applies by itself at checkout as soon as there are 3 boxes in your cart.
Can I mix anime and characters?
Yes. Any character from any anime counts toward your 3 — mix them however you like.
Does it really look like the photos?
Yes. The photos are the real product, switched on. The most common line in our reviews is “exactly like the pics” or “even cooler in person.”
How does it light up?
A warm white LED strip sits behind the paper layers. Plug in the USB cable that comes in the box, or use AAA batteries (not included) if you want it cable-free.
How big is it?
18 cm wide, 7.6 cm tall, 5.1 cm deep (7 × 3 × 2.5 in). About as wide as your phone is long. It fits a desk, a shelf, or a nightstand.
When will it arrive?
Orders ship on business days. Delivery takes 7–14 days and you get a tracking number by email.
What if it arrives damaged?
Email a photo to hello@mangasekaishop.com within 3 days and we send a replacement free.
Can I mix characters in the bundle?
Yes. Pick any 3 characters from any anime. The third one is free.
Is it a good gift?
Many customers buy it for a son, a brother, or a partner who’s into anime. Pick their favorite character and you’re done. If you don’t know it, ask what they’re watching right now.
